Dr. Alok Aggarwal (PhD), Co-Founder and Chief Data Scientist of Scry Analytics, MedSocial's Parent Company, previously worked at IBM Watson Research Center (1984-2000), MIT (1990-91) and founded IBM India Research Lab (1997- 2000). He co-founded Evalueserve in December 2000 and was its chairman until January 2014; this company provides research and analytics services to clients in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. In July 1997, Dr. Aggarwal “founded” IBM’s India Research Laboratory, which he set-up inside the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi; he grew it to a 70-member team (with 35 PhDs and 35 Masters in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Business Administration) by July 2000. During 1993 and 1996, along with other researchers at IBM, he built and sold a “Supply Chain Management Solution” for paper mills and steel mills. By optimizing schedules for paper machines, trimmers, winders, storage in warehouses, loading of trucks and rail-cars, and transportation, their solution was able to save a typical paper mill around 2% of revenue in operating costs. He received his B. Tech. from IIT Delhi and his Ph. D. from Johns Hopkins University in 1984, after which he joined IBM’s T. J. Watson Research Center in New York. Since then, he has published more than 100 research articles and has been granted 8 patents from the US Patents.
Sangeeta Aggarwal, MD, is the Chief Medical Information Officer of Scry Analytics and leads a team of Doctors, Pharmacists, and Healthcare SMEs to provide the domain expertise on various Healthcare and Lifescience solutions. She is a board certified Hematologist and Oncologist and a member of ASCO, ASH, AMA, and AAPI. She brings more than 25 years of experience as a medical doctor and with respect to the work-flow in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes. After finishing her fellowship in Hematology-Oncology from Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York, Dr. Aggarwal became an attending physician in the division of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant at Mt. Sinai Medical Center. During 2002-2005, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Montefiore Hospital & Medical Center in New York. During these four years, she was actively involved in teaching fellows and in bone marrow transplants for hematological malignancies. Since October 2005, she has been Assistant Chief in the division of Hematology and Oncology at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose. During the last ten years, she has been specifically interested in breast cancer and is also involved in clinical studies as well as mentoring residents. She has published several research articles regarding breast cancer and is serving as a clinical investigator for a few on-going trials regarding Lymphoma and breast cancer.
Rishi is VP of Data Science and Country Manager for the India offices. He has over 15 years of experience and has led the design and development of various Data Science platforms and products, including MedSocial and Voice of Cancer Patients. Prior to Scry Analytics, Rishi was working at Kvantum Inc., where he led various teams to develop the technology platform for the core product of the company. As an architect and lead, he has developed a number of AI applications that used NLP, Machine Learning, distributed computing frameworks, integration frameworks, and NoSQL databases. Prior to Kvantum, Rishi worked as a technical architect with Sapient Global Markets, where he worked on various projects for some of the large financial services companies and led the design and development of large enterprise integration and big data applications. Rishi holds a Computer Science engineering degree from VTU Bangalore.
